What you will do in your working day
The duties include but are not limited to:
- Construction of foundations, roads and footpaths
- Installation of drainage and service ducts
- Laying kerbs, edgings and construction of car parks
- Excavation works General labouring
- Adhering to all Health & safety policies and legislation with Elan and the site
The training you will be getting
- The learner will be studying the Groundworker Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
- Day release to West Suffolk College.
- Functional skills will be studied if equivalent qualifications are not held.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
After completion of the Apprentice Groundworker Level 2 course you will be employed full time as a fully qualified Groundworker. They are many opportunities within the company to keep progressing within the company, including and not limited to Plant Operator, Supervisor or Site Manager. Elan are keen to encourage upskilling of our staff and actively encourage it.
