What you will do in your working day
Typical duties for this role will include:
- Having a good understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes
- Working to ISO standards and create audits as required
- Maintaining the ISO system
- Creating CAD modeling for production/manufacturing
- Being fully conversant with manual inspection procedures/methods
- Being fully conversant with CMM inspection to include CAD models
- Undertaking production monitoring
- Creating written reports (FAIR, ISIR etc,) issue conformance certificates and generating customer information supply packs
The training you will be getting
This is a Level 3 Engineering Technician apprenticeship, Technical Support pathway, delivered over a period of 4 years.
Mandatory qualifications:
- Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) – Technical Support
- Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
The apprentice will attend the training centre, In-Comm Training Services in Aldridge, WS9 8UG, 2.5 days per week for the first two years, and the company for the rest of the time.
