It is the role of the apprentice administrator to support the work of the Operational Team to ensure that BCA service provision delivers against our service targets. You will work alongside the operational delivery team to learn all aspects of the business.

What you will do in your working day

• To learn and provide all aspects of basic administration duties such as managing telephone calls, taking minutes, using Microsoft Office-based systems and any other duties as required. 

•To support the operational delivery, contract, and performance portfolio for all BCA service provider provisions.

• Supporting service delivery expectations and compliance by ensuring early identification of issues and initiating timely intervention to ensure service plans and targets are delivered

• Supporting monthly reviews of performance targets and expectations are undertaken and documented through data production and analysis.

• Visiting delivery sites with the operational team as required and assessing operational compliance as per BCA policies

•Proactively managing relationships with members, providers, and the BCA team as required.

• Administration support and coordination of meetings, papers, notes and agendas.

• Attendance at different system meetings as required.

• Develop and maintain effective team working.

• Undertake any other relevant activities which fall under the general scope of this role as directed.

• Willingness to work flexibly and contribute to the development of the team and the needs of a growing organisation.

The training you will be getting

  • Business Administrator Level 3
  • No weekly release day into college
  • One monthly workshop to attend at the Little Germany campus
  • All training to be undertaken in the workplace
  • Assessor will visit the workplace every 4-6 weeks

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • A permanent post with BCA or a member organisation such as a GP practice.
