What you will do in your working day

Duties will include:

  • Working alongside experienced lift engineers
  • Application of the use of tools
  • Risk assessing safety critical environments
  • Carrying out the servicing of lift equipment
  • Investigating lift breakdowns
  • Replacing worn/damaged equipment
  • Modernising exisiting lift equipment.

The training you will be getting

Full training and support will be given via work-based learning. The successful applicant will be expected to achieve the following:

  • Level 3 NVQ in Engineering Maintenance - Lift or Escalator Service and Repair
  • Lift and Escalator Industry Association distance learning units.
