During this apprenticeship you will report to the Jackson's Wimborne Office. This opportunity will provide excellent training in mechanical, electrical, electronic and hydraulic engineering relating to the service, repair, modernisation and installation of a wide range of lift associated equipment. What you will do in your working day
Duties will include:
- Working alongside experienced lift engineers
- Application of the use of tools
- Risk assessing safety critical environments
- Carrying out the servicing of lift equipment
- Investigating lift breakdowns
- Replacing worn/damaged equipment
- Modernising exisiting lift equipment.
The training you will be getting
Full training and support will be given via work-based learning. The successful applicant will be expected to achieve the following:
- Level 3 NVQ in Engineering Maintenance - Lift or Escalator Service and Repair
- Lift and Escalator Industry Association distance learning units.
