What you will do in your working day
- Supervise and assist in delivering a safe environment for pool users,prevent any incidents, preserve life whilst on poolside, first aid responsibilities, complete cleaning and maintenance checks and complete pool tests. Also assist in setting up and taking down dry side activities and equipment. (45%)
- Support the hydra programme by assisting/delivering effective swimming lessons for multiple stages to the required standard. Ensure that the sessions delivered are allowing each child to progress during their booked lessons and put them in the best position to progress to the next stage. Encourage the developments of all disciplines in the sport regardless of age and ability and assist in the provision of progress reports. Prepare and set up all necessary items of equipment required for teaching at all levels.(25%)
- Instruct or supervise customer activities including basic coaching where required. Meet with customers, undertake member inductions, answering their enquiries and directing and instructing them as necessary. Prepare all areas and equipment for use ensuring cleanliness, safety, and effective basic maintenance. Complete appropriate documentation and records and reports to supervisors on any matters as required by the service. (20%)
- Receive bookings, enquiries, and telephone calls. Giving information and advice where appropriate. Knowledge of computer management systems (Legend). Carry out administrative roles alongside the bookings and membership team.(5%)
- Supporting the cleaning team and gaining further knowledge of essential cleaning that is undertaken within the centre, including dry side and wet side areas. This will include knowledge of cleaning machinery used within the centre.(5%)
