What you will do in your working day
We are looking to recruit a bricklaying apprentice, you will predominantly carry out work within residential and commercial properties. Laying bricks, blocks and other types of building components in mortar to construct and repair walls, foundations, partitions, arches and other structures.
Applicants must be reliable, hardworking and able to work well on your own or as part of a team
You must -
- Be committed to work, study and gain experience within the trade.
- Work alongside fully qualified and experienced multi-skilled staff
- Maintain tools and equipment to the required levels and in accordance with health & safety standards.
- Maintain stock of building materials and help with restocking when needed
- Ability to follow clear instructions and follow health & safety practices put in place
The training you will be getting
- Bricklaying apprenticeship standard Level 2
- Off the job training will take place one day a week at Oldham College

- Progression to full-time employment as a fully qualified bricklayer
