What you will do in your working day
- Studying and gaining Aruba certifications.
- Assisting in the installation, configuration and maintenance of network hardware and software.
- Collaborating with experienced colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve networking issues.
- Utilising communication tools to troubleshoot and resolve network-related problems.
- Ensuring timely resolution of networking issues at client sites.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation related to network configurations and troubleshooting procedures.
- Engaging in continuous learning and training to enhance networking knowledge and skills.
- Collaborating with mentors and LearnTech to develop a solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies.
- Working closely with team members to contribute to the successful completion of projects.
- Participating in team meetings and share insights to improve overall team performance.
- Adhering to company policies, industry standards, and security protocols.
The training you will be getting
During this apprenticeship, you will follow a fully supported training programme with LearnTech, delivered through combined weekly remote classroom-based training, workplace assessment/training and online learning working towards completing the Level 4 Network Engineer standard.

- You will also receive HPE CDS internal training and have a dedicated mentor from the support team to shadow and learn from.
- You will recieve a level 4 Network Engineer qualification upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

If you have an interest in networking and want to develop a career, then this role is the ideal starting point with real progression opportunities. Be prepared to work hard to complete the challenging, formal Network Engineer qualification. Successful candidates, and those with the aspiration, will have the opportunity to become a Network Operations Engineer upon meeting the high standards required. There are also opportunities for long-term career progression within the HPE CDS Business and/or within the HPE parent company.
