Things to consider

This job can be hugely rewarding, but also very demanding, especially during winter months. Although we do work indoors sometimes, the majority of your time will be spent outdoors, regardless of the weather. If you do not like the cold, this apprenticeship is probably not for you! Dogs are amazing but can also be quite challenging. It is important to us that our apprentice is easy-going and imperturbable- our job is to give these dogs the best possible time, regardless of their individual traits. Experience with multiple breeds of dog is desirable. (Your own or in a working environment) Must enjoy being covered in muddy paws. If you do not currently drive, we would want to see that you are making in-roads towards getting your driver’s license and are confident doing so.
