The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service, serving food and drinks to customers and will work towards a level 2 Hospitality Team Member.

What you will do in your working day

• To provide high quality drinks and snacks to customers in an efficient manner
• Provide clean and well-maintained facilities for our customers to enjoy
• To support in set up and tidying of activities and participate in Mascot entertainment

Key responsibilities

• Manage the processing of orders in the kitchen and ensure adequate preparation has been done
• Assist with stock control including collecting shopping locally
• Ensuring the opening and closing checklist is complete each day
• Assist with setup and coordination of a range of activities such as singing groups, messy play, crafts, storytime, disco as well as special events e.g. Halloween and Christmas parties
• Assist in hosting private events and ensure the logistics of the event are running to plan, the host is relaxed and guests are enjoying themselves
• Play special characters for in-house and external events using a range of mascot costumes when required
• Welcome guests and sign in on the system
• Take payments at the end of the session
• Process and serve food and drink orders
• Observe and interact with customers to ensure that their needs are fulfilled to the best of our ability
• Ensure all areas, surfaces and equipment are clean and well maintained to comply with all hygiene and food safety regulations
• Ensure all daily cleaning tasks are complete and assist with deep cleaning weekly schedule
• To manage college appointments, workload and assessment deadlines
• To meet with your mentor when required to manage your off-the-job training
• To complete all final assessments required to complete an apprenticeship qualification
