What you will do in your working day
Typical day to day duties will include:
- Day to day management of our Quality Management Systems:-
ISO 9001 Quality
ISO 14001 Environmental
ISO 45001 Health & Safety - Coordinate management schedules for all standards including meetings, data collection, inspections, sampling, and reporting.
- Conduct internal audits to assess compliance with all quality management systems.
- Develop and update documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and quality records.
- Support the day-to-day administrative tasks.
- Manage all non-conformances and ensure preventative and corrective action is taken.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance to staff members on quality procedures and best practices.
- Act as a liaison during external audits and regulatory inspections.
- Monthly reporting including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Support the implementation of new standards.
The training you will be getting
-This is a level 4 Quality Practitioner apprenticeship delivered over a period of 18 months
-Functional Skills in maths and English, if required
-The apprentice would be required to attend the training centre for a one-week block, followed by 7 x 1 day per week workshops at the training centre and attending meetings with an assessor, at the company, one day per month.
The training provider is In-Comm Training Services.You will attend the Telford TF3 3AJ site.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
- Initially, we expect apprentices to be employed as a Quality Coordinator and, for the right candidate, they will have the opportunity for further study and progression within the team
- For suitable and successful candidates, the roles will be varied and the company is committed to investing in training and mentoring with the aim of, on completion of the apprentice scheme, being employed in permanent positions.
