What you will do in your working day
Expect to delve into areas such as:
- Interpret and follow installation drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Install various mechanical equipment and components, such as pumps, valves, pipework, ductwork, and HVAC systems.
- Ensure proper alignment, levelling, and fastening of equipment according to specifications.
- Connect and join pipes and tubes using various techniques (e.g., welding, brazing, threading).
- Conduct leak tests and pressure tests to ensure system integrity.
- Commission and adjust installed equipment to ensure proper operation.
The training you will be getting
- The Apprentice will obtain the Building Services Engineer Craftsperson Level 2 Qualification after completeing the the end point assement at the end of the Apprenticeship
- The Apprentice will be expected to come into the college on day realease once a week
- Functional Skills English and Maths if required

- After initially qualifying, you could go on to supervisory roles, senior management positions or even running your own business.
