What you will do in your working day

In this role the apprentice would be expected to split their time equally between sites in South Wales, Southampton and Poole equally. You will work Monday-Friday Shifts and can maximise earnings through over time which is paid a higher rate.

The apprentice will be responsible for inspection, service, maintenance, testing and repair of lifting equipment such as slings, shackles, chain hoists, lever hoists and bespoke items. The role will also cover varied engineering tasks and training will be provided in the following areas:

  • Basic Mechanical Engineering
  • Basic Electrical Engineering
  • Wire/Fibre Rope Splicing
  • Working at Height
  • LEEA Qualifications
  • IPAF Training
  • Forklift Training

The role will involve working on-site and at our premises and the candidate must be flexible in their approach to work.
