A Level 3 Machine Shop CNC Apprentice is required. This is an opportunity to join our expanding team based in Leicester, within a world leading metrology business. The work is varied and includes using a range of manual machines, setting up and operation of CNC machines, reading drawings and using computers and software to aid in the manufacture of components. Full on-site training is provided.

What you will do in your working day

  • Produce components / tooling using a range of manual machines safely and to the required quality and within reasonable time scales.
  • Setup and operate various CNC Machines 3 axis to 5 axis to produce accurate components safely and to the required quality and within reasonable time scales.
  • Read drawings and measure components to the drawing tolerances using various measuring kit.
  • Use computers and software to aid in the manufacture of components.
