    The above salary is for full time, this role is TERM TIME ONLY working 39 weeks per year, the actual salary is £9,990 per annum.

What you will do in your working day

Are you someone who is caring, patient and has a passion for working with children? Then this is the role for you! 

Duties of this role, including but not limited to:

  • Working with a wide range of class teachers to deliver excellent teaching and learning.
  • Coaching children on a 1 to 1 or group basis.
  • Accompanying groups on trips.
  • Supporting assessment and evidencing learning
  • Working with the teacher to create stimulating classroom displays and learning resources
  • Maintaining a safe and positive environment for all learners
  • Creating opportunities for all learners to reach their potential, irrespective of ability
  • Supporting children with SEND to access learning on a 1 to 1 or group basis.

The training you will be getting

L3 Apprenticeship Standard in Teaching Assistant

Functional Skills Level 2 in English and Maths (if required)

End-Point Assessment (EPA):

  • Portfolio based interview
  • Practical observation

Delivery Method

  • Every other week (Friday PM)
  • Online portfolio to update with learning and development completed onsite
  • Diarised visits from dedicated Trainer/Assessor
  • Attendance to Loughborough College for Functional Skills (if required)

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

All apprentices will be able to apply for Learning Support Assistant roles as they are advertised towards the end of their apprenticeship. There is no guaranteed role at the end of training, if there are no available positions at The Hall we will support the candidate in applying for a role elsewhere.
