What you will do in your working day
Specific Duties:
- To assist with the day to day operations of the relevant department, but also learn about other aspects of the College
- To work collaboratively within the teams to ensure consistent planning and prioritisation of short and medium term work activities in response to agreed deadlines
- To support administratively with open days, job fairs and enrolment events etc.
- Working in the departments at the Aylesbury Campus, and travelling to other sites when required
- Liaise with relevant staff to ensure standards are consistent, paperwork and processes are in place and timely
Department Specific duties:
HR:
- To provide administrative and clerical support to the HR team
- To compile and update employee records
- To support at meetings taking notes where necessary.
- To work flexibly as part of the HR Team undertaking a range of office duties as required
- To support payroll in inputting and checking for accuracy staff data
- To support managers in the preparation of new job descriptions and staffing requests
Marketing:
- To assist with planning, organising and delivery of College events
- To support marketing communication, internal and external,
- To support the Marketing Executive, Design and Online with social media channel output developing the College's presence on these platforms
- To assist with external communication to current and future students and stakeholders
- To assist and develop email campaigns, from creating content, designing templates, segmenting customer data, testing and delivering campaigns, to analysing the success of email marketing activity
- To adapt and produce digital artwork for use on social media outlets in line with the college’s branding guidelines and marketing strategy when required
- To assist in the commissioning and supervision of the production of audio and video assets for use on social media channels and media outlets
MIS:
- Application – processing the applications of prospective students
- Enrolment – entering learners to the correct courses, being aware of College policies in terms of course combinations, and learner hours
- Data entry - ensuring that data is entered and maintained to a high level of accuracy
- Student enquiries - providing a good level of customer service when dealing with student queries, and researching in order to resolve it yourself, or taking responsibility in passing their enquiry on to the correct person or team
- Compliance - assisting with data cleansing tasks to support the submission of data returns to external agencies
- Funding - ensure that internal and external data systems are maintained to ensure that we meet our obligations under funding regulations
- Exams - support in the facilitating of exams
- Achievement - provide administrative support in the processing of achievement data and the recording of learner outcomes
- Reporting - liaise with College staff on data capture, information and reporting needs
General duties:
- Actively promote and market the College and present a positive image of the College and its activities both within and outside the College environment
- Ensure the quality standards and performance measures applying to the work of the College are met and facilitate continuous improvements in all aspects of the post
- Undergo any self-development and training as necessary for success in the role
The training you will be getting
Duration:
- 36 months practical training period, plus 3-6 months for End Point Assessment
Delivery model:
- Work-based training with your employer
- Day release during term time (approximately 1 day a week for 3 years)
- Off the job training will count for at least 6 hours a week of an apprentice’s time at work
Qualifications included:
- Level 2 Functional Skills in English and maths ( if required)
- BA (Hons) Business Management Practice
- Level 6 Chartered Manager (Degree) Apprenticeship
