What you will do in your working day

Job Description: 

  • 1st Line Telephone & Remote Access Support to CTS Group clients 
  • Solving user problems /answering calls and logging tickets 
  • New user & application setups (Laptops and PC's) 
  • Day-to-day user/systems support (printer installs, etc.) 
  • Providing in-house technical support to CTS Office employees 
  • Workstation troubleshooting 
  • Training & answering queries (re: MS Office-based apps.) 
  • Escalation of client requests (systems development & sales) to consultants/account managers. 
  • Occasional on-site support / delivery of goods & services to clients, site auditing & fact-finding visits 
     

The training you will be getting

Duration:

  • 13 months practical training period, plus 3 months for End Point Assessment


Delivery model:

  • Work-based training with your employer
  • Day release during term time (approximately 1 day a week for 1 year)
  • Approximately four on-site assessment visits per year
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English (7 days at college for each, if required)
  • Off the job training will count for at least 6 hours a week of an apprentice’s time at work

  • Level 3 Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship


End Point Assessment:

  • Work based project and presentation
  • Portfolio based interview

This applies to 16 - 18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over during the first year of their apprenticeship. After this, the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Wage for apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent training.
