What you will do in your working day
Based in our Loughborough service centre, apprentices will be fully trained in all of the skills required to competently carry out the tasks detailed below. This includes the use of hand and machine tools, lifting and health & safety:
- Dismantle pumps and motors to component level, assess condition and compile reports.
- Assembly and testing of equipment to as new condition ready for return to site.
- Carry out fault finding on equipment returned to our facility for inspection.
Once a week, (during term time only), apprentices have day release to Loughborough College to learn additional knowledge, skills and behaviours in relation to the course. These will then be implemented in the workplace and regularly reviewed to check understanding.
