    The salary shown is pro-rata, this role is working 38 weeks a year. Salary is £8 an hour for the first 12 months of the apprenticeship, followed by the national living wage thereafter.

    35 Hours per week for 38 weeks per year (West Berkshire school term time), typical working hours between 8:30 - 4:30pm, but flexible to the needs of the business.

What you will do in your working day

  • Work closely with colleagues in the Developing Skills team to gain an understanding of students’ requirements and programme objectives.
  • Supporting Project officers delivering events in schools and colleges.
  • Supporting and working with the DST Admin team to find business volunteers, the prepping of event resources and data entry.
  • Contacting relevant businesses via telephone, email, via networking events etc to engage them with EBP’s work to assist with successful delivery across multiple projects.
  • Updating trackers and databases regularly to ensure visibility of progress towards targets/ against delivery plan.
  • Following up on contacts made through networking events/ e-shots/ other meetings etc to engage volunteers/secure work experience placements.
  • Other duties as required, for example: administration of work experience projects, administrative support to colleagues, generating placement descriptions, generating, and sending correspondence etc.
  • Liaise with schools, colleges, and businesses to develop and deliver work related learning activities as set out in the annual programme.
  • Work with other internal and external stakeholders to deliver effective events.
  • Carry out all aspects of event/workshop booking, preparation, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Lead workshop/activity delivery to student groups of a variety of ages whether face-to-face or virtually.
  • Work collectively with other members of the EBP to develop strategies to ensure the ongoing success of the company.
  • Keep colleagues informed of relevant changes to legislation or local contacts as they apply to your immediate area of responsibility.

The training you will be getting

The apprentice will work toward the Level 4 Associate Project Manager Standard. This would be through blended learning, monthly tutor led group sessions, guided self-study/online learning and 1-1 reviews. 

Funtional skills maths and English Level 2 would be delivered if required through online or in person study.

Apprentices are required to achieve a suitable level of knowledge as part of their development such that they achieve an IPMA Level D qualification or APM Project Management Qualification, prior to their EPA.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

This is a fixed term contract for the duration of the apprenticeship.

On-going training and development are encouraged and supported.

Things to consider

Clean full driving licence and own transport is essential . Successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check. 2 weeks to be worked on agreed dates within school holiday periods, with an allowance for 2 weeks to be taken off during term time.
