What you will do in your working day

  • Setting up
  • Preparing and supporting with snacks
  • Supporting children with their learning
  • Tidying away and re-setting up the environment
  • Monitoring and liaising with the team about children’s development and well-being
  • Working with a team of nursery practitioners / assistants to ensure all nursery details are completed

The training you will be getting

Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship Standard:

  • Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification
  • Training to take place at Northampton College, NN3 3RF - 1 day a week

Apprentices must successfully complete a first aid qualification in line with the requirements of the EYFS Framework (Annex A): Early years foundation stage (EYFS) statutory framework - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk).

About the employer

We are a community organisation working in the East district of Northampton. The nursery was set up in 2015 to support the amount of eligible two year olds in the area without nursery provision. We have been rated Outstanding twice by Ofsted since opening and want to give children the very best start to their education and prepare them for the next stage of their learning.
