What you will do in your working day
You will be travelling to different locations with the SMS Drywall team to work on projects in residential and commercial settings.
Your role will include;
- Plastering onto walls, floors, ceilings and detailing.
- Monitoring and organising materials.
- Shadowing your mentor to develop skills.
The training you will be getting
Your apprenticeship training provider will be Skills Group and you will be required to attend 1 day per week.
You will work with the employer 4 days a week totaling 40 Hours a week.
Alongside your apprenticeship you will need a CSCS card, which can be applied for through Skills Group.
You may also be required to take a Functional skills assessment in Maths and English may also be required, for anyone that has not achieved their Maths and English grades.
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
On completion of your Level 2 Apprenticeship with Dave, an opportunity to apply for a full time post may be offered to the right learner.
Alternatively, you could go on to complete your Level 3 in Qualification, or go on to be self-employed and start your own company.
