What you will do in your working day

  • Sets objectives and plans for sales visits/calls
  • Creates a favorable impact with potential clients in the first 30 seconds
  • Introduces themselves, the company, and the purpose of the visit/call clearly and appropriately
  • Quality questioning to identify the clients needs and problems
  • Actively listens and fully understands the clients business, needs and problems
  • Builds business within the account and identifies new opportunities
  • Matches solutions to clients problems
  • Preventing objections, and overcoming them
  • Gaining Commitment to move the sales process forward (closing)
  • Constantly aiming to achieve in excess of 15% fee rates
  • Client Service and Account Development
  • Shows an awareness of the market at all times
  • Identifies opportunities

  • Networks the potential candidate base thoroughly
  • Proactively generates candidates and specs them in
  • Creates a weekly time plan

The training you will be getting

Recruitment Consultant Standard (level 3), which includes:

  • Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Recruitment Practice
  • Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Recruitment
  • Modules covering Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviours in Business
  • You'll have a personal tutor to guide you through your training
  • You will attend 1:1 sessions with your tutor every 2/3 weeks
  • End Point Assessment (online)
  • Occasional group classes with other learners
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in maths & English if required
  • Recruitment Consultant Standard (level 3) from IFATE and City & Guilds

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Full-time position available on completion of apprenticeship.

Salary will be at £24k - £26k as a Recruitment Consultant (you’ll have the opportunity to earn commission too!).
