What you will do in your working day

  • Land surveying using a Total Station/GPS

The training you will be getting

  • Civil Engineering Degree (Level 7) Apprenticeship Standard
  • University of Derby
  • Apprentices would be expected to attend the University on a day release basis for 28 days each year.
  • Minimum of 4 years to 4 and a half years

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • To become a Geospatial Engineer 
  • To be compentant and confident to undertake land surveys, processing and drawing surveys independently

Things to consider

This career will involve working outside in fields and on construction sites and some manual handling. There will be early mornings and some over night stays.
