What will the apprentice be doing?

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Organisational:

  • To provide a front line support service for the electronic patient record system managed by the Systems Team.
  • The post holder is responsible for assisting the systems team with troubleshooting and affectively resolving issues with the systems managed by the team.
  • To assist with maintaining the efficient running of the support desk tool.
  • To assist with the maintenance and monitoring of user access to the systems in accordance with Livewell policies and guidelines.
  • To escalate any issues arising from helpdesk calls to the Systems Coordinator.
  • To contribute to the operational support of the systems used by the SystmOne Team.

Leadership and Management:

  • To communicate and escalate issues to the supplier, TPP, when required.

Operational:

  • The post holder is responsible for supporting and amending data errors as requested by the Systems Coordinator on a day to day basis.
  • The post holder may be requested to manage bulk data correction errors as directed.
  • To take the necessary corrective actions to ensure the Information Team can rely on the information available to them from managed systems. This includes resolving issues identified by the Systems Analysts.
  • To employ good communication skills so as to be able to converse with staff who are not familiar with technical vocabulary.
  • To undertake other relevant duties as may be required by the Systems Team.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Your apprenticeship will enable you to work towards and complete a Customer Service Practitioner Level II qualification with Achievement Training. 20% of the apprentices work time is protected to undertake their training.

Things to consider

The primary base for the post will be home based but the post holder may be required to visit sites of the organisation as and when required.
