Job Description

This is a great opportunity to join the dedicated IT team of Priory School. This role is right for anyone who is looking to progress into Helpdesk Support / 1st Line Support Engineer / IT Technician, to learn new skills and develop within the IT field.

This role is a fantastic first step towards working in IT support in a school environment. You will be working closely with IT colleagues in all technical disciplines to share knowledge, ensure consistency and improve service levels and support.

About the role

You will be responsible for assisting in all aspects relating to the care and maintenance of computing, audio, visual, printers and other IT equipment across the School. You will rovide first line helpdesk support to students and staff for hardware, software, audio-visual, printers and other IT equipment.

You will be also assisting with the setting up, maintenance and repair of computers, audio visual equipment, computer-linked equipment and computer-related equipment.

Additional Information

Monday – Thursday: 8:00AM – 4:00PM, Friday: 8:00AM – 3:30PM (37 hours per week)

Essential Skills

  • An excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills to develop relationships with people at all levels.
  • Good numeracy and mathematical skills
  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths grade A* - C (4 – 9)

Desired Skills

  • Interest / experience in IT and willingness to learn
  • A highly organised individual who works well under pressure
