Summary
Cornwall Glass are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to work within this experienced and well-run company to gain a Customer Service Level 2 apprenticeship. The aim is to support the sales office team by communicating with both our suppliers and customers as well as inputting orders with a high level of accuracy.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
As an apprentice you will work at a company and get hand-on experience. You will gain new skills and work alongside experience staff and tasks will include;
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and customer enquiries
- Schedule site visits, invoices, and purchase orders
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors and clients
- Maintain accurate records of glazing jobs and materials
- Learn how to cut glass
- Assist with on-site glazing works which will help develop knowledge
- Have an interest in working with glass

What you'll learn
Course contents
- Use a range of questioning skills, including listening and responding in a way that builds rapport, determines customer needs and expectations and achieves positive engagement and delivery.
- Depending on your job role and work environment: Use appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication skills, along with summarising language during face-to-face communications; and/or
- Depending on your job role and work environment: Use appropriate communication skills, along with reinforcement techniques (to confirm understanding) during non-facing customer interactions.
- Depending on your job role and work environment: Use an appropriate ‘tone of voice’ in all communications, including written and digital, that reflect the organisation’s brand.
- Provide clear explanations and offer options in order to help customers make choices that are mutually beneficial to both the customer and your organisation.
- Be able to organise yourself, prioritise your own workload/activity and work to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate patience and calmness.
- Show you understand the customer’s point of view.
- Use appropriate sign-posting or resolution to meet your customers needs and manage expectations.
- Maintain informative communication during service recovery.
Training schedule
An apprenticeship includes regular training at college as part of the qualification requirements (one day per month) and the college is based at Marsh Mills in Plymouth.

The course contents will include;
- Full Customer Service Practitioner Standard - Level 2
- On the job training to support job role/development
- Off the job training to support qualification requirements (College attendance at Plymouth Training Centre)
- Employer will allocate dedicated training time for Off The Job training as required for the qualification
- Functional Skills support - maths/English - if required

Desirable qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade A*/9 - C/4)
- Maths (grade A*/9 - C/4)
