A Internal Sales apprentice is required for a leading electrical wholesaler. The candidate will learn all the products of the industry and liaise with customers and suppliers. Fantastic career progression opportunity for the right candidate.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and confident apprentice who is keen to work and learn in a busy environment.

INTERNAL SALES APPRENTICE:

If you are wondering “What is the next step towards a career?”

We are looking for a highly motivated apprentice to join our busy branch. After full training your role will include:

  • Liaising with customers and suppliers via telephone
  • Working in the Sales office and dealing with customer orders, payment and enquiries
  • Ordering new products
  • Sales Calls
  • Answering phones
  • Logging orders/dealing with invoices
  • The candidate will be studying/completing a Customer Service Level 2 qualification alongside the apprenticeship

All training will be completed in the workplace with a Training provider.

Monday to Friday 8am-5pm.

Candidates must be available by message or phone in the first week of applying.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Apprenticeship.

Contract length: 24 months.

What you'll learn

Course contents
  • Use a range of questioning skills, including listening and responding in a way that builds rapport, determines customer needs and expectations and achieves positive engagement and delivery.
  • Depending on your job role and work environment: Use appropriate verbal and non-verbal communication skills, along with summarising language during face-to-face communications; and/or
  • Depending on your job role and work environment: Use appropriate communication skills, along with reinforcement techniques (to confirm understanding) during non-facing customer interactions.
  • Depending on your job role and work environment: Use an appropriate ‘tone of voice’ in all communications, including written and digital, that reflect the organisation’s brand.
  • Provide clear explanations and offer options in order to help customers make choices that are mutually beneficial to both the customer and your organisation.
  • Be able to organise yourself, prioritise your own workload/activity and work to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate patience and calmness.
  • Show you understand the customer’s point of view.
  • Use appropriate sign-posting or resolution to meet your customers needs and manage expectations.
  • Maintain informative communication during service recovery.

Training schedule

Completing a Level 2 Customer Service Apprenticeship standard, consisting of:

  • Knowledge and competence qualification in Customer service at Level 2
  • Functional Skills in maths and English if required
  • End-Point Assessment (EPA) - final test and observation

The vocational and academic training aspects are separated and delivered by separate teams. The vocational training and assessment are conducted, more often than not, on site according to the employers wishes.

Notice of dates is agreed well in advance of a site visit. Training and assessment is conducted both on and off the job, according to the needs of the course and the learner. Every effort is made to ensure the best result is achieved by the learner.

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade 9-4)
  • Maths (grade 9-4)

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
