Summary
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join Icon Plastics as a Warehouse Apprentice. Based in our busy injection moulding factory, this role will provide hands on experience across all key warehouse operations including stock movements, goods in/out, and dispatch processes., You will receive a level 2 qualification.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Learn to move stock efficiently between warehouse locations and finished goods (FG) storage
- Assist with receipting and putting away incoming stock
- Support the issuing of stock to production as required
- Learn how to load and unload wagons throughout the day
- Assist with picking and preparing dispatch orders for delivery or collection
- Use our ERP system to help maintain accurate stock records (full training provided)
- Help ensure the warehouse remains clean, safe, and well-organised

- Load and unload products, considering the product that is to be moved and its current and planned destination.
- Use tools and equipment to aid in product handling.
- Use information technology and digital systems. Comply with GDPR and cyber security.
- Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements.
- Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
- support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product.
- Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibility.
- Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance. Segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal.

Training schedule
- An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation
- At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying
More training information
- You will gain an NVQ Level 2 Supply Chain and warehouse Operative qualification at the end of the course
- Your Skills coach will be there to support you throughout and visit your setting
- Functional skills training if necessary

Other requirements
A Warehouse role is a physical role as you are on the move all day, you need to be physically fit to do this kind of work. You also need good Attention to detail to make sure customer orders are correct. Reliable and punctuality are a must to keep the warehouse department moving
