Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Train in basic measurements, assembly, safety, read drawings and many other manufacturing processes
- Under supervision operate CNC Milling Machines, Horizontal Boring Machines, Turning & Lathes, drill presses, cut off saws
- Edit and update CNC programs
- Rebuild dies and components
- Clean fixtures
- Change fixtures in presses
- Inspect fixtures
- Adhere to all safety directives/requirements within the area and facility
- Practice good house keeping
