Summary

Superite Tools are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic apprentice to be able to repair, modify and refurbish plastic injection mould tools.

  • CNC turning

Training schedule

The successful applicant will undertake a Level 3 Toolmaker Apprenticeship.

They will start a 1-week induction covering the principles of the apprenticeship, Induction to programme and additional courses such as:

  • IOSH Working Safely
  • Manual Handling
  • Abrasive Wheels
  • Slinging
  • Equality & Diversity
  • Prevent Agenda
  • Introduction to Lean

The apprenticeship will be a 37-month training programme where the candidate will be required to attend In-Comm Training Service in Aldridge.

Learners start with off-the-job training, covering 2.5 days a week at In-Comm Aldridge and then spending 2.5 days a week on the job. The successful apprentice will work towards:

Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence) and begin their Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge). This knowledge element spans the whole of the programme.

The applicant will need to be fully committed to both the education, skills and training of the apprenticeship before completing their end point assessment at the end of the apprenticeship.

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade 5)
  • Maths (grade 5)

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Superite are looking for an apprentice with excellent teamwork skills, and who has a positive 'can-do' attitude. You may be required to work extra hours when needed.
