Summary
As an Apprentice Client Broker, you’ll play a key role in supporting our expert team in delivering high-quality insurance solutions to clients across various sectors. Working alongside experienced professionals, you’ll help manage client relationships, prepare insurance documents, and assist in handling renewals, claims and day-to-day enquiries.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Ensure accuracy, efficiency and productivity when dealing with clients, colleagues, and insurers.
- Develop and maintain collaborative, respectful, and professional working relationships with clients, colleagues and insurers.
- Provide effective and efficient administrative support to Account Directors and other client brokers.
- Actively seek feedback and testimonials from clients and business partners and respond to feedback received.
- Resolve enquiries in a timely and efficient manner to achieve excellent client service standards.
- Ensure all business activity fully complies with FCA regulation and company procedures as detailed in the Conduct Policies and Guides to Best Practice.
- Follow the company’s policies, procedures and functions associated with the role.

What you'll learn
Course contents
- Quality service delivery: Consistently develops and delivers excellent service to customers, colleagues & advisers, supporting the products / services provided and adhering to ‘Treating Customers Fairly’ principles at all times
- Customer communication & relationships: Develops effective relationships with customers & key contacts, handling & resolving issues through effective verbal/written/IT skills.
- Team working & collaboration: Understands role within team & impact on others. Consistently endeavours to support colleagues & collaborate to achieve results
- Planning & prioritising: Consistently adheres to systems & processes using proficient IT skills, including risk, regulatory and governance requirements
Training schedule
You will study one day per week, either online or face-to-face with our training provider, Skills North East.

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade Grade 4/C or higher)
- Mathematics (grade Grade 4/C or higher)
