Summary
Sales Engineers at 3T work closely with all customers to ensure desired product is selected to customers’ requirements and specification. Upon sales order the engineer will ensure that the product is as quoted and will then process order, monitoring any potential customer changes all the way up to final manufactured product.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
• Taking enquiries from customers and selecting desired product which meets customer’s needs, using engineering software.
• Upon sales order, engineer will send over provisional drawing for approval using engineering software.
• Upon drawing approval, engineer will process order and act on any potential changes.
• The engineer will liaise with production staff until product has been manufactured and is complete.

- Analyse engineering and manufacturing data and information to support technical outputs. For example, read and interpret text, data, engineering drawings, work instructions, method statements, operation manuals.
- Apply scientific, technical or engineering principles.
- Apply problem solving techniques to solutions for identified technical problems.
- Organise, plan and prioritise workflow and scheduling of work with stakeholders.
- Identify, organise and use resources to complete tasks, considering cost, quality, safety, security and environmental impact.

Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE or equivalent in:
- English (grade 4-9)
- Maths (grade 4-9)

About this employer
Thermal Transfer Technology (3T) manufacture bespoke Fin and Tube heat exchangers which are supplied to the HVAC industry. The company has been established in Seaham for over 30 years, but can be traced back to 1961 when its parent company was founded in Denmark.
