Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Welding and building of skips and waste containers, performing Mig welding on steel assemblies to a high standard.
  • Ensure finished products conform to technical drawings and dimensional specifications.
  • Ensure welds are clean, strong, and meet quality requirements.
  • Verify correct placement of brackets, holes, and drain points for galvanising and assembly.
