To develop the skills and experience necessary to become a competent maintenance and facilities engineer within a pharmaceutical workplace. To support activities that ensure the reliable and safe functioning of all equipment in order to achieve efficient, effective and compliant operations.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Carry out equipment Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) under supervision
  • Equipment breakdown support and minimising downtime activities, under supervision
  • Implement Corrective And Preventative Actions (CAPA)
  • Provide support for general site facilities maintenance, under supervision
  • Updating of SOPs and WRKs
  • Support small capital expenditure projects
  • Undertake such other reasonable duties as may be required from time to time to support the department and business activities

Training schedule

Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:

  • The apprentice will train within the workplace with a designated Engineering mentor 4 days per week
  • The apprentice will study 1 day per week at Leeds City College - Print Works Campus

Requirements

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

  • English (grade 4)
  • Maths (grade 4)

Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
