The Caroola Group is excited to be expanding the teams within The Caroola Apprenticeship Academy and is seeking enthusiastic and talented individuals to join our team as an Accounts Apprentice. As an Accounts Apprentice, you will embark on an exciting and rewarding journey that combines practical on-the-job training with academic learning.
This position offers a structured pathway to success. In your first year, you will undergo comprehensive training whilst working towards achieving the AAT Level 2 Apprenticeship qualification through our apprenticeship provider, Babington. Guided by experienced professionals, you will gain invaluable practical experience and theoretical knowledge. Upon successful completion of exams and courses, you will confidently transition into an Accounting position.
Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping
- Onboarding administration
- General Administration - including data entry and dealing with client queries via email
- To undertake any other duties as requested by your line manager within the scope of the role
- Keep up to date and follow any relevant legislation and/or polices and procedures in line with Bribery, Anti-money Laundering and FSCA requirements
- Adhere to SLA’s as required
Skills & Requirements:
- Applicants must have lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years
- Be able to commute to our Blackpool office 5 days a week
- Does not hold an equivalent qualification in the same area
- Not currently in another form of formal education

What you'll learn

- Record transactional data.
- Use the organisation’s standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues such as, reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
- Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
- Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
- Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon, using language tailored to the audience and different media methods with an appreciation of the risks and benefits to the business of social media and other digital applications.
- Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data to contribute to routine accounting tasks.
- Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.

- English (grade 4/C+)
