Established in 2015 based in the heart of MediaCityUK, the UTC is a 13-18 mainstream University Technical College. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic IT Apprentice to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start their career in IT gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

This position is the apprenticeship wage of £7.55 per hour.

Work

- Support teachers and students with their IT queries
- Work as part of the IT team solving issues
- Repair equiptment
- Install new IT software and hardware with guidance

What you'll learn
Course contents
- Work at any stage of the solution lifecycle.
- Interpret client requirements.
- Prioritise tasks to work within agreed project plans.
- Ensure resources are used efficiently and responsibly.

- Identify technical solutions using creative and critical thinking.
- Install hardware or software, either physically or virtually.
- Search and use different types of data or information sources.
- Test and evaluate performance, functionality, and usability of solutions to ensure compliance with customer and project requirements.
- Deploy and implement solutions, supporting change management practices.
- Create and maintain documentation in accordance with best practice and organisational requirements.
- Support multiple contemporary or legacy solutions to required levels of service.
- Apply organisational policies and legislation in relation to security requirements, privacy, and confidentiality.
- Communicate using a variety of tools and approaches, adapting language for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Apply continuous professional development CPD to support their own learning, business needs and technical developments.

Training schedule
IT Solutions Apprentice Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard, which you will receive training to develop and demonstrate the knowledge, skills and behaviour also included:
- End-Point Assessment (EPA)
- Work-based learning
- 20% off the job training
- Training is delivered on-line and face to face
- A nominated tutor
- Functional Skills in Maths and English if required

Other requirements
Evening and weekend work may be required. You may be required to undertake such duties as may be reasonably required of you commensurate with this grade. Satisfactorily meeting the Trust’s employment checks – a DBS Check (including any relevant overseas checks), health assessment, references, qualifications and legal entitlement to work in the UK.
