Summary
As an Inclusion Support Assistant within our Individual Needs Team, you will have the chance to develop your skills in scaffolding learning and supporting the holistic needs of students. This role offers a unique opportunity to support students with diverse learning needs, helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

- Comply with legislation, guidance, and procedures for Prevent, safeguarding and health & safety.
- Support the well-being and mental health of learners.
- Observe, record, and report on learners in line with organisational procedures.
- Apply methods of formative assessment.
- Use up to date technology safely, to support learning.
- Encourage safe use of technology by learners.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support all learners (for example, scaffolding, open questioning).
- Identify and respond to pastoral and academic behaviours in learners.
- Provide feedback to learners.

John Taylor Free School is dedicated to helping all staff develop their professional skills through the latest research and educational theory. Every Wednesday afternoon at 3pm, all staff participate in tailored professional learning sessions that foster collaboration and reflection. As an apprentice, you will have dedicated time with our lead practitioner, who will provide personalised training aligned with your course, ensuring you have every opportunity to succeed and excel in your apprenticeship.
