Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • You can get a lot done in ten weeks, but you’ll certainly have to knuckle down to get the Store Assistant role under wraps. If you do, you’ll quickly become a vital part of the team
  • At Aldi, we just couldn’t function if our people only focused on themselves. Which is why you’ll start by learning how to get the most out of working effectively in a retail team
  • It’s all about your stores stock. From checking levels to sorting out any problems, you’ll discover how to ensure we have the perfect amount of products on the shop floor
  • Once you've successfully completed your Level 2 Retailer qualification, you will move onto your Level 3 Team Leader qualification for the remaining 13-16 months of the programme
  • You'll cover store management training covering topics such as stock availability and ordering, merchandising and planning for key events
  • You'll also cover modules such as sales and productivity, managing people, supporting others and inventory control
  • If successful you will be awarded with a Team Leader Level 3 qualification and maybe offered the opportunity to become a Deputy Store Manager

Where you'll work

Our roles are available in stores all across England with no set intake dates. We recruit all year round. To find if a store is recruiting near you, simply head to our recruitment website and search our vacancies using your postcode.
