Summary

We are offering a motivated young person the opportunity to join our growing subcontract manufacturing business located in central Redditch. The individual will be trained in all aspects of CNC production lathe machining and rewarded for achieving set goals throughout their apprenticeship.

Wage

£13,348.40 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Read and understand technical drawings.
  • Train with and use measuring equipment to achieve the highest quality components.
  • Learn common machining practices and apply them to achieve drawing requirements.
  • Select and set appropriate tooling to produce a component.
  • Operate and maintain the CNC machinery.
  • Begin to understand G-code programming and its application to produce components to customer drawings.

Established in 1990 by Edward Moss, our company has developed from a conventional machine shop into a full CNC Turning shop. Therefore, we now offer 24/7 lights out production. We currently produce a range of CNC machined components and turned parts in addition to others. Based in Redditch, England, M&M is a family run business through and through. Edward’s sons are now heavily involved in running the company with a view of maintaining the values developed from day one. Fully qualified CNC lathe setter/operator with a view to progressing to become a fully qualified CNC lathe programmer/setter.
