Summary

We have a vacancy for a mechanical technician apprentice for the assembly, testing and servicing of flexible hoses located in our Cramlington factory. The apprentice will work on all aspects of producing hose and coupling assemblies, ie handling of materials, hose preparation, hose crimping, hose testing, labelling and packing.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

The Role ResponsibilitiesiInclude:

• Assembly of heavy duty flexible hoses including handling, cutting and crimping
• Hydrostatic pressure testing of completed hose assemblies
• Inspection and service of products and reporting
• Working with an ISO 9001 accredited system
• Complete all work to a high standard.
• Adhere to H&S regulations and maintain a safe working environment at all times.
• Occasional working away at customer site that may include working offshore (once competent)

Essential qualifications

GCSE or equivalent in:

  • English (grade 4-9)
  • Maths (grade 4-9)
