Summary

Cramlington based Storage Equipment Safety Service is looking to recruit a dynamic and enthusiastic Customer Service representative. This role will see the successful candidate work between the CAD technical drawing and customer administration team.

Wage

£15,704 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Your daily duties will include;

  • Act as a point of contact for customer and inspector enquiries via telephone and email, providing accurate information regarding report status and delivery timescales.
  • Collaborate closely with the CAD and administration teams to support the production of plan and profile drawings for use in inspection reports and, occasionally, for technical documentation.
  • Prepare and finalise professional inspection reports, including formatting written content and embedding photographs using Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF tools.
  • Produce accurate 2D AutoCAD warehouse layout drawings from on-site sketches captured during Rack Safety Inspections, ensuring all elements are clearly and precisely represented.
  • Ensure consistency between inspection reports and drawings, including correct placement and data of Safe Working Load Notices, storage system manufacturers, bay/run IDs, and accurate alignment of walls, doors, and racking systems.
  • Distribute completed reports to clients via email or by uploading to client-specific portals or systems.
  • Provide general administrative support to internal departments as required, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development activities to enhance your skills and support the evolving needs of the business.
