Summary

As a Marketing Assistant, you’ll help deliver impactful marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels. You'll assist in content creation, social media management, event coordination, internal branding, and campaign performance reporting - all while learning from experienced mentors.

What you'll do at work

Campaign Support & Content Creation

  • Assist in the implementation of multi-channel marketing strategies
  • Create, schedule and publish social media posts across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
  • Design and deliver targeted email campaigns using Mailchimp
  • Support SEO improvements and website updates using WordPress
  • Stay on top of trends in social media, content, and branding

Design & Branding

  • Design branded materials such as business cards, brochures, flyers, presentations, and company profiles
  • Maintain visual consistency across all external and internal documents
  • Help develop marketing materials for job fairs and sponsored events
  • Produce internal documents and digital assets aligned with brand guidelines

Internal Marketing & Support

  • Provide day-to-day marketing support for local branches across the UK
  • Assist with internal communications through the company intranet
  • Assist in organising and promoting job fairs, internal events, and community sponsorships
  • Help maintain an organised library of marketing content and documentation

Events & Partnerships

  • Help organise and coordinate job fairs, internal events, and marketing-led initiatives.
  • Assist with sponsorships of local sports teams and community partnerships

Monitoring & Analysis

  • Track social media engagement and campaign KPIs
  • Report findings and suggest improvements based on analytics
  • Monitor campaign performance and gather data to help improve outcomes
  • Monitor engagement and community feedback
  • Manage and respond to customer reviews across online platforms

What you'll learn

Course contents
  • Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
  • Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
  • Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
  • Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
  • Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
  • Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
  • Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
  • Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
  • Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
  • Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
  • Use a website content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
  • Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
  • Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
  • Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
  • Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.

Your training plan

Multi-Channel Marketer Level 3.

Face to face training sessions will be delivered from the state-of-the-art EMA training hub.

The 3 core knowledge units are as follows:

  • Fundamentals of Marketing
  • Content Marketing
  • Marketing Campaign Fundamentals

In addition to the modules above, you will also study towards the Google Analytics vendor qualification.

Further support will be provided to you through your Digital Coach/Mentor via onsite visits and remote communication.

Requirements

Essential qualifications

GCSE in:

5 GCSE's including Maths and English (grade 5/B or above)
