Summary

You will work for a small company in our engineering workshop and on site which usually is on board vessels. As they develop their skills, they will be required to travel within the UK. Their duties will cover a range of engineering skills, from mechanical skills on large hydraulic-powered equipment to the understanding of hydraulic systems.

£14,918.80 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Gaining knowledge and understanding of hydraulic systems,  components and hydraulic-powered equipment operating in the marine industry.
  • Maintaining, servicing and refurbishing hydraulic systems, hydraulic powered equipment and components.
  • Assembling and installing Hydraulic Systems. Fault-finding, and correcting faults on hydraulic systems.
