Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

  • Assisting in the manufacture, assembly, maintenance, and repair of tooling used in our production lines, including press tools, jigs, fixtures, and moulds
  • Learning to safely operate a range of manual and CNC machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and surface finishers
  • Supporting the toolmakers in day-to-day tasks in the tool room including tool prep, component measurement, and maintenance logs
