Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
Never heard of Caravan Licencing before but interested in finding out more? Do you like speaking to and meeting new people? Do you like resolving problems? Do you have good organisational skills?
Our apprenticeship is the ideal opportunity for you to kickstart your career whilst gaining a qualification at the same time.
The duties will include:
- You will be the first point of contact for our service, offering an exceptional level of customer service to ensure our customers' experience is a positive one.
- Processing applications for Caravan Licences.
- Maintain and upkeep all records and systems accurately and efficiently, both manual and computerised.
- Maintain effective communications with customers, staff, and members of the public, including Elected Members, Town and Parish Councils etc.
- Inputting and updating complaints on the computerised systems used within the department within determined deadlines.
- Assisting in the administration of orders and payment of invoices.
- Extracting and compiling statistical information as required from either (or both) manual and computerised records.
- Filing, photocopying and other general office duties.
- Dealing with personal, written and telephone enquiries and complaints and recording as appropriate.
- Processing of incoming and outgoing mail.
- Type letters and memos as required.
- Assist the Caravan Licencing Officers in the course of investigations.

- Provide clear explanations and offer options in order to help customers make choices that are mutually beneficial to both the customer and your organisation.
- Be able to organise yourself, prioritise your own workload/activity and work to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate patience and calmness.
- Show you understand the customer’s point of view.
- Use appropriate sign-posting or resolution to meet your customers needs and manage expectations.
- Maintain informative communication during service recovery.

The qualification will be achieved within the workplace over the duration of the apprenticeship.

GCSE in:

About this company
Boston Borough Council, East Lindsey District Council and South Holland District Council have formed the South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership.
