This is a new position for an enthusiastic and motivated apprentice to join the Marketing & Business Development department within Bird & Bird LLP, an award-winning city law firm.

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
What you'll do:
The successful candidate will spend time with the MBD team to support and develop effective marketing initiatives.
Digital Marketing and Brand:
- Assist the digital team with website management and developing or supporting microsites and interactive client comms, designing and updating client alerts and newsletters and supporting the production of videos, podcasts and apps.
- Supporting the social media team implementing our social media strategy and channels.
- Assisting the brand management team with managing our brand assets, creating internal and external materials and assisting with Bird & Bird merchandise.
Marketing communications:
- Awards and comms – supporting the PR and comms team with all day-to-day activities including media monitoring and coverage, press coverage and analysis, maintaining media lists and supporting press interviews and events.
- Internal comms – supporting internal comms strategies and assisting the team with creating content, management of the firm’s internal comms channels, video and event delivery and engagement measurement.
- Awards and Directories – supporting the team with award submissions, co-ordinating content and events, supporting with directory submissions and analysis of directory rankings.
Events:
- Supporting the events team in the delivery of the London events programme, including client seminars and training, conferences, dinners, parties and retreats.
- Supporting the London office events, including social events, management events and day-to-day London business development and marketing initiatives.
- Maintaining the events platforms and reporting processes.
- Supporting follow-up and CRM-related actions.
- Managing event collateral, merchandise and branding.
Business development and CRM:
- Supporting the Business Development team with marketing activities, including updating marketing materials and digital content, events, intranet updates and credentials capture.
- Assisting the CRM team with data management and maintenance, targeting and list development, mailing list support and data analysis.
- Maintaining all MBD infrastructure and systems and tech platforms.
General MBD support:
- Supporting different MBD team members depending on the team’s most urgent strategic initiatives and priorities.
- Discrete projects that require additional support to fulfil the team’s highest priorities.
- Providing administrative support to the team by maintaining MBD infrastructure including tech platforms, the MBD intranet and team meetings and events.

- Develop or interpret briefs for external or internal stakeholders and measure delivery in-line with the specification and agreed timelines
- Plan and coordinate a marketing activity using marketing tactics to acquire and retain one or more customer segments using available resources.
- Contribute to the generation of innovative and creative approaches across video, images, and other formats, both online and offline, to support campaign development.
- Use research/survey software to gather audience insight and/or evaluation to support the project.
- Use copywriting techniques to write persuasive text/copy to meet a communications objective ensuring it is in-line with organisational brand guidelines.
- Build and implement multi-channel campaigns across a variety of platforms, either offline or digital media.
- Proofread marketing copy ensuring it is accurate, persuasive and is on brand.
- Use software to design and create marketing assets to meet the technical specification.
- Contribute to the research of external suppliers to support recommendations and procurement of marketing goods and services.
- Organise offline and digital assets ensuring they are co-ordinated and legally compliant.
- Use a website content management system to publish text, images, and video/animated content.
- Create and maintain spreadsheets to support marketing activities such as project/budget planning and organisation of marketing assets.
- Use technology and software packages to support day to day activities, e.g., stakeholder communications, development of briefs, data analysis, report writing, presentations and project management.
- Identify and use data and technologies to achieve marketing objectives.
- Monitor and amend campaigns to meet budget requirements including time and monetary costs.
- Review campaigns regularly to ensure effectiveness, to optimise the results.
- Measure and evaluate campaign delivery to identify areas for improvement.
- Use data analysis tools to record, interpret and analyse customer or campaign data.

- Analyse and integrate information from the multichannel marketing landscape to inform and optimise both short-term tactics and long-term strategies.
- Implement secure, innovative solutions using a broad spectrum of digital tools and platforms, ensuring seamless user experiences while achieving marketing objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews and analyses of multichannel marketing activities, measuring success and providing actionable recommendations for enhancement.
- Create and interpret insightful analytical dashboards utilising advanced digital tools, facilitating data-driven decision-making.
- Strategically plan, execute, and manage comprehensive marketing campaigns across an array of digital and traditional media platforms.
- Develop, understand, and apply marketing briefs and plans to ensure alignment with business objectives and brand consistency.
