Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
- Assist with setting up and maintaining classroom and office IT equipment (PCs, projectors, printers)
- Learn to troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues
- Help maintain the IT asset register and equipment logs
- Support staff and students with password resets and account setup
- Shadow and assist with the administration of Office 365 and Google Workspace
- Help maintain photocopiers and AV equipment
- Participate in IT maintenance tasks during school holidays
- Respond to IT support requests under supervision and escalate when necessary
- Contribute to documentation and guides for users
- Attend training sessions and complete coursework as part of the apprenticeship

Desirable qualifications
GCSE in:
- GCSE English (grade A*-C/9-4 or Level 2 equivalent)
