What you'll do at work

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

  • Successfully complete academic studies at the appropriate level
  • Eventual primary responsibilities will be to develop, monitor and improve assembly processes, identify and troubleshoot manufacturing problems, specify, source and commission new equipment and design tooling and assembly fixtures
  • To become competent in the use of 3D modelling and draughting techniques
  • To be proficient in following method layouts, drawings and work instructions
  • Gain a good understanding of the supporting departments, i.e, design, purchasing, planning, etc.
  • To develop and distribute the technical package to manufacture various products
  • Develop skills on metalworking machines such as bench lathe, milling machine, punch press, drill press and to develop fabrication and assembly skills
  • To work with due regard to health and safety requirements
  • To ensure that 5S and other Lean Principles and processes are adhered to
