Summary
We are looking to appoint a dynamic and adaptable Teaching Assistant Apprentice to join our team, who will work with specific 1:1 children with additional educational needs across EYFS - Yr6, groups of children, support the class teacher to facilitate learning, bring fresh ideas, and ignite children’s curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.
What you'll do at work
Duties include but not limited to:
- To be a good role model for pupils and colleagues
- To ensure that all pupils make expected or more progress towards aspirational targets
- To deliver interventions, using assessment for learning to adapt to teaching and evaluate progress
- To champion our high standards of pupil behaviour and expectations of good character
- To support the development of an inspiring and innovative curriculum, adapted for the children you support where required, with ambitious end goals
- To uphold the inclusive principles that are integral to our ethos
- To help to prepare our SEND pupils for their next phase of education
- Build confidence in whole class teaching and delivery for adhoc cover
- Other duties as and when required

- Support the well-being and mental health of learners.
- Observe, record, and report on learners in line with organisational procedures.
- Apply methods of formative assessment.
- Use up to date technology safely, to support learning.
- Encourage safe use of technology by learners.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support all learners (for example, scaffolding, open questioning).
- Identify and respond to pastoral and academic behaviours in learners.
- Provide feedback to learners.

Your training plan
Teaching Assistant Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:
- An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation
- At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying
Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade C/4 or above)
- Maths (grade C/4 or above)
