Summary
You will work as an Apprentice Teaching Assistant supporting teachers and pupils in the classroom in lessons and become an integral part of the school support team. You will study for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship for 18 months and will be supported by mentors from Tyne Coast College.

- Apply methods of formative assessment.
- Use up to date technology safely, to support learning.
- Encourage safe use of technology by learners.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support all learners (for example, scaffolding, open questioning).
- Identify and respond to pastoral and academic behaviours in learners.
- Provide feedback to learners.

Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade A-C (4 or above))
- maths (grade A-C (4 or above))
