Summary

Nuprol are offering a great opportunity to join their expanding team, working in a supportive, friendly environment. Nuprol supplies airsoft weapons, batteries, consumables and accessories. Duties will include - Goods in /goods out and stock control. Maintaining the order system. Loading and unloading vehicles. Stock rotation.

Work

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

Working in a friendly team with experienced mentors and current apprentices, duties will include - 

  • Goods in – receiving stock and unloading deliveries
  • Goods out – preparing goods/orders to send out, to include packing and loading
  • Checking products
  • Stock check and rotation
  • Updating an order system
  • Operating pallet and possibly forklift truck

  • Communicate with others verbally, for example internal and external customers, colleagues, and managers.
  • Communicate in writing with others, for example internal and external customers, colleagues and managers.
  • Load and unload products, considering the product that is to be moved and its current and planned destination.
  • Use tools and equipment to aid in product handling.
  • Use information technology and digital systems. Comply with GDPR and cyber security.
  • Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements.
  • Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
  • support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product.
  • Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibility.
  • Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance. Segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal.
  • Follow equity, diversity and inclusion rules.
  • Carry out and record learning and development activities.

Your training plan

The apprentice will work towards the Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Standard and Functional Skills Level 1 English and maths if required. Training will be provided by Nuprol on a daily basis alongside monthly face-to-face and remote tutor-led training sessions from WBTC and 1-1 reviews in the workplace.

Desirable qualifications

GCSE or equivalent in:

  • English (grade 4 or C)
  • maths (grade 4 or C)

Other requirements

This role will involve lifting, carrying and loading/unloading vehicles - so applicants would need to be happy being on their feet for a good part of the day.
